Transportation is a continuing challenge for individuals in wheelchairs or for persons who have special needs. It is particularly difficult when one must rely on others (vendors) for transportation. Often just finding out which transportation vendors are available in an area of the state is a problem.

So, to assist our clients, ASCC is compiling a directory of Arkansas vendors who provide accessible transportation.

This list is not exhaustive. We encourage the input of everyone to make the list comprehensive. The vendor phone numbers listed below have been verified. However, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-459-1517, or e-mail tfarley@arspinalcord.org with your changes/comments and new vendors to be added to the list.

Accessible transportation vendors may be publicly and/or privately financed. They may only provide services to a certain geographical area or to a certain category of passengers. For example, one vendor may be limited to service within the City of Little Rock; another may only accept Medicaid recipients. These restrictions are usually related to vendor funding. Vendors who provide services funded under the Americans with Disabilities Act are required to qualify their passengers for their services. Passengers need to complete an application for service and receive an ID card. Please read the passenger eligibility criteria below and ask about it if you call to ensure that you qualify.
